Tapping this will take you to the Weapons screen, where you will be presented with different Weapon options and information. Note that this option will disappear when you move your character. To bring it back, simply stand still for a short time, or tap the "3-lines" button in the top-left corner.
At the bottom of this screen, you will see four categories, which are the following:
- Assault
- Shotgun
- SMG
- Pistol
Tapping on a category will show you new items at the bottom of the screen. You can then tap on these items to view them on your character. Once you tap an item, you should see some options on the right.
If you currently have the item equipped, you should see a greyed-out "Equipped" button to indicate this.
If you own the item but don't have it equipped, you should see a button saying "Equip". You can tap this to equip the item.
For the previous two scenarios, you should also see an Upgrade button (as long as the weapon hasn't been fully upgraded). When viewing an owned weapon, you should see green values on the right side of the stats shown on the right side of the screen. These values show what stats are going to be improved and by how much. Upgrading weapons requires Cash (or Gold at higher levels, which will allow for an instant upgrade, where using Cash at this point will require you to wait). If you have enough currency, simply tap the relevant purchase button to improve the weapon.
If you don't own the item, you should see some purchase options. All items can be bought using Cash or Gold. Simply tap the relevant button to use that currency and purchase the item. Once bought, you can equip it as explained before.
